Lembaga Zakat Selangor acknowledges the importance of ensuring that the zakat aid channeled has a great impact on the recipient. The impact of your contribution can be found HERE
SPZAS (Selangor Children's Zakat Education Contribution) was introduced to help ease the burden of the non-asnaf (Fakir, Miskin and Muallaf), especially in the B40 and M40 classes who need help to meet their educational needs using the allocation under asnaf fisabilillah.
We believe that assisting Asnaf in term of education is an important step in ensuring that Asnaf step out of the cocoon of poverty.
Each applicant will be assessed for eligibility based on the Had Kifayah rate provided. If the applicant's qualifications exceed the Had Kifayah, the amil must take into account other difficulties for the applicant, if any, to also consider:

- The applicant or a family member has a chronic health problem, an illness that requires ongoing treatment costs, or a body disability that prevents them from working actively.
- Applicants are elderly or unable to work.

- Other identified difficulties.
Qada Zakat is paid according to the year and value of your wealth. Qada Zakat rate is 2.5%. If you do not know the amount of real wealth at that time, then the closest estimate shall be made.
Qada Zakat is based on nisab during the previous haul. Payment of Aada zakat can be made in installments or according to one's economic ability. This zakat payment can also be made either by visiting zakat branches throughout the state of Selangor or through other payment channels such as Internet banking, bank agents, and others.
Yes. Every practice that is deemed Fardu (such as fasting, prayer and zakat) that isn't performed needs to be Qada either due to forgetting, deliberately leaving it, or in a situation where one returns to Islam after apostacy.
Individuals or companies that have fulfilled the mandatory zakat requirements are eligible to pay zakat in previous years and if they have not yet paid all the obligatory zakat for the previous year, then it is obligated to perform Qada Zakat.
